The HMC Scanner is an excellent way to obtain and document ALL
the information of every LPAR on every machine managed by an HMC!
The HMC scanner will log into the HMC, read the contents of the stored configurations and create an Excel spreadsheet with tabs containing all the information.

It’s java based, so copy it to the same directory as your java executable (or make sure java path is properly set).
From a command line window, navigate to the directory of the HMC Scanner jar file.
Run the HMC Scanner with:
hmcscanner <IP address of HMC> hscroot -p <HMC Password> (without the <> brackets)
